The Open 2024 will be played from 14th to 21st July 2024 at Royal Troon Golf Club, on one of its 2 golf courses, the Old Course.
As every year, the best golfers in the world will challenge each other on the links, in what is undoubtedly the greatest challenge for a professional golfer, with everyone dreaming of lifting the coveted Claret Jug and being named “Champion Golfer of the Year” once in a lifetime.
Royal Troon Golf Club is considered one of the best golf clubs in Scotland and has hosted The Open on multiple occasions, this edition will be the tenth to be held at this legendary venue. Henrik Stenson was the last to lift the Claret Jug in 2016.

The Open 2024 Venue
The Open 2024 will be played at Royal Troon Golf Club on the Old Course. It was founded in 1878 and is regarded as one of the finest clubs in the UK.
Royal Troon Golf Club has two golf courses, the Old Course and the Portland Course. The Old Course is the more famous of the two and is ranked among the best golf courses in Scotland.
In the 9 previous editions of The Open at Royal Troon Golf Club, illustrious names in golfing history have won, Arthur Havers (1923), Bobby Locke (1950), Arnold Palmer (1962), Tom Weiskopf (1973), Tom Watson (1982), Mark Calcavecchia (1989), Justin Leonard (1997), Todd Hamilton (2004) and Henrik Stenson (2016).
