The best destinations for a golf trip with friends

Golf is an individual sport, but it is played in groups of four players and allows you to get together with friends to enjoy your favourite sport in good company. But to make a good golf trip with friends, not only do you have to have a good golf course, but there must also be a good range of services, gastronomy and accommodation in the chosen destination to make the experience as complete as possible. Here is a selection of the three best destinations:

Golf trip with friends in Seville

The capital of Andalusia is an ideal destination for a trip in which golf with friends is the central focus of the visit, but which allows you to carry out an infinite number of different activities to complement a good round of golf. As far as golf courses are concerned, Seville capital has three good golf courses, with the Real Club Sevilla Golf standing out. This charismatic eighteen-hole course has hosted the European Tour‘s Spanish Open on several occasions and in 2004 it hosted the World Golf Cup, which was won by a young Paul Casey and Luke Donald. But we must also highlight courses such as Real Club Pineda Golf or Club de Golf Zaudín.

To complement all this, Seville has a nationally renowned gastronomic offer and one of the richest monuments in Spain. The Torre del Oro, the Giralda, the Cathedral and the Real Alcázar are just a few examples of its rich historical heritage. In addition, there is the exciting nightlife of Seville, where there are numerous terraces, restaurants, pubs and nightclubs where you can have a good time with friends after a round of golf. If you are looking for tradition, Easter Week in Seville will not leave anyone indifferent.

Golf trip with friends on the Costa del Sol

Real-Cub-Sevilla-Golf

The Costa del Sol has been recognised as the best European golf destination 2018 by the IAGTO (Association of Golf Tour Operators). And this is not a trivial choice as this golf destination has a large number of golf courses, around fifty golf courses, of the highest quality. Among them we could highlight courses such as Real Club Guadalmina Golf, Cabopino Golf, Lauro Golf Resort, La Cala Golf & Resort, Parador de Málaga Golf, and a long etcetera that make up the most complete golf destination in Europe.

On the other hand, the Costa del Sol has a wide range of services that perfectly complement its great golf offer. A good number of resorts that will make your stay a unique experience, numerous nightlife areas in Malaga city, Marbella, Puerto Banús, Estepona, Benalmádena and Fuengirola, beaches of unquestionable quality and a very interesting gastronomic variety, from the traditional beach bar to some of the most prestigious restaurants on the national scene, make the Costa del Sol the most complete golf destination.

Golf trip with friends on the Costa Blanca

The Costa Blanca is another of the best-known golf destinations with friends in Europe. In the province of Alicante there are around twenty golf courses with services, maintenance and amenities that have little to envy to other areas of the old continent. Another of the outstanding characteristics of this tourist destination is the high quality of its resorts. Resorts that have managed to take advantage of the relationship between quality accommodation and good golf courses, as is the case of the Meliá Villaitana, La Finca Resort or Las Colinas Golf & Country Club. It is also worth mentioning those golf courses that, even though they are not a specific resort, have a very high quality course, such as Lo Romero Golf, Alenda Golf or Bonalba Golf.

The province of Alicante has a wide variety of activities that can complement rounds of golf with friends. In addition to the services already offered in the respective resorts, there are beaches of enormous quality and three cities full of life, such as Elche, Alicante and Benidorm. Here you can experience Alicante‘s famous “tardeo” or get to know some of its traditions, such as the Bonfires of San Juan. All of this accompanied by excellent gastronomy.
