HomeScotland / Old Course St. Andrews

Playing golf in Scotland has become one of the biggest challenges for all golfers, and playing the Old Course St. Andrews at least once in your life. If we talk about Scotland, we can’t forget to talk about the birthplace of golf, where The Open is held every 5 years, the best event in the world. The Old Course has several famous features such as the Swilcan Bridge, the mythical bridge on the 18th hole where thousands of golfers have had their portraits taken on it.

The Old Course can boast some truly emblematic holes, some of which are even catalogued as the best in the world, such as the famous 17th hole (Road Hole). To begin with, from the tee you have to aim almost out of bounds to get a good line that guarantees you a fairway. To reach the green, the shot is really complex as you have to attack a small green protected by a deep bunker in front and a stone wall behind that runs parallel, where the great Miguel Angel Jimenez gave in 2010 possibly one of the shots in the history of The Open.

At Lowgolf we have prepared a series of proposals for you to fulfil your dream of playing on the oldest course in the world, the Old Course at St. Andrews, with different proposals for accommodation and transfers.

Our expert's opinion

"The Old Course at St Andrews is one of my favourite courses in Scotland and will always be close to my heart as I won The Open Senior in 2018 and will always remember hitting the wall in 2010. Definitely a course everyone should play if they are going to Scotland, 100% recommend with Lowgolf."

La primera vez que viajé con Lowgolf fue en el Open de 2013 en Muirfield y la verdad es que lo pasamos genial. El grupo era pequeño pero divertido y Pedro estuvo de 10 con cada uno de nosotros. Repetiré.
